Seventh Monday of Easter

Daily Reflection

Seventh Monday of Easter

He is risen, and I am risen.

From today’s Scripture: But the just rejoice and exult before God; they are glad and rejoice.”Ps 68:4

Thoughts of death can be a bit frightening. Jesus goes before us to take the “sting” out of dying. I remember my cousin who died raising her arms as she was dying with a great smile on her face. She seemed to be saying, “he is risen and I am risen. Take me to yourself.” If I live well, I will die well.

Let us pray: Jesus, please go before me. Help me to rid myself of all the excess baggage that ties me to the earth.
