Second Tuesday of Easter

Daily Reflection

Second Tuesday of Easter

Spirit of the Apostles

From today’s Scripture: ”The community of believers was of one heart and mind.”—Acts 4:32

Charity Sunday is what we call every last Sunday of the month at Glenmary’s St. Michael the Archangel. During each Mass celebrated, the faithful bring various food items during the offertory, in a procession. The food items are collected and distributed to the needy members of our community.

In some little way, we can say that the community of believers here try to live out the spirit of the Acts of the Apostles that we proclaim in today’s reading. Everything that we have comes from God, and must be shared—this should be the Gospel that we live out each day.

Let us pray: Bless us, Lord, with discomfort of the culture of abundance, so that we can learn to share.
