The book was a labor of love for Glenmary’s vocation director, Brother David Henley.
“I started updating the Glenmary Prayer Book in 2016,” Brother David said. “It has been a process that has taken longer than originally planned because during this process I discovered many prayers were written by Glenmarians over our past 80 years that were not in previous editions.
“Father William Bishop, Glenmary’s founder, wrote in his diary, ‘A prayer is not a creation of the mind but of the heart.’ This book, a collection of Glenmary prayers, is from our heart and a way that we can share and invite: vocation prospects, donors, volunteers and friends of Glenmary to pray with us and the people that we serve. “
