You don’t have to travel to a foreign country to find a mission field that needs the hope and love only Jesus can provide. Our ministry as Glenmarians is to serve the “little towns” in rural America, the places we like to call “Mission Land, USA!”
Our missions begin in small towns across rural America, often in unlikely places, not unlike our own Savior’s birthplace. We’ve brought the Church together to worship in living rooms, Elk’s clubs, even outside under carports! We nurture the Catholic community until it’s ready to build its own permanent Catholic church. Eventually the community is returned to the pastoral care of its local diocese and we move on to new mission territory.
Glenmary has established over 120 Catholic churches in rural America, and the number is increasing! In the past two years, we’ve dedicated three new churches, and just have just broken ground on a fourth. This Christmas, we humbly ask you to support our ministry with a one-time or monthly gift.
