27th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Rejection can guide us.

From today’s Scripture: “’The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; by the Lord has this been done, and it is wonderful in our eyes?’” —Mt 21:42

How many times have we found ourselves feeling defeated after facing rejection? Whether it be something miniscule or on a larger scale, rejection often leaves us feeling upset and vulnerable. However, through these experiences we can learn and grow. Where one door has closed, another door is waiting for us to open it.

It is through God that we learn to overcome these hardships. Though we may be tempted to give up, God can guide us to build the rejections we face into something greater.

Let us pray: Heavenly Father, grant me the strength and courage to see beyond what has left me deflated. Guide me in my faith to keep moving forward.
