From today’s Scripture: “Were not our hearts burning within us while he spoke to us on the way and opened scriptures to us?”—Lk 24:32
Often while hiking in a nearby park, I end up walking with various people I meet on the trail. After the hikes and I am back at the church, I often wonder why I did not recognize the beauty of the moment. I was handed an opportunity to learn about someone else’s faith journey, yet I chose to talk of the weather, or the trail, or anything else.
Let us pray: Gracious God, open my heart to those I meet on the road, the trail, in the stores, and on the streets. Open me up to learning from them, allow others to enrich my faith by sharing theirs.
