From today’s Scripture: “After Jesus had revealed himself to his disciples and eaten breakfast with them, he said to Simon Peter, ‘Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?’”—Jn 21:15

The question Jesus put to Peter is one we all have to face: “Do you love me?” It is an invitation to check our hearts. Are we answering with pride — saying the right words but living differently? Or are we answering with the honest humility that says, “I’m not perfect, but I’m yours”? Loving Jesus isn’t just a feeling; it’s a mission. The best part is that Jesus does not call the worthy; he calls the willing. Our ability to serve him is not based on our track record but entirely on our willingness to say “yes” and follow him, no matter how inadequate we might feel.

Let us pray: Lord Jesus, help us to answer your call with humble hearts, trusting that your love is enough to lead us exactly where we need to be.
