From today’s Scripture: “The following night the Lord stood by him and said, ‘Take courage. For just as you have borne witness to my cause in Jerusalem, so you must also bear witness in Rome.’”—Acts 23:11
Today’s Scripture features a powerful moment where the Lord stands by St. Paul and says, “Take courage.” It’s a message we need to hear daily. Often, we get caught in the “snares” of life — those disheartening moments that make us feel vulnerable. But when we are held in God’s strong, everlasting arms, we are secure. This Scripture reminds me of my younger sister who grew out of her fear of tunnels because she realized they weren’t just dark holes — they were passages with “light at both ends.” If we feel like we are in a dark tunnel right now, remember that God is with us in the shadows and waiting for us in the light. No matter how crazy things get, he is there to strengthen and uphold us.
Let us pray: Lord Jesus, fill our hearts with the hope that comes from knowing your light is waiting for us at every end.
