From today’s Scripture: “Why do you notice the splinter in your brother’s eye, but do not perceive the wooden beam in your own eye?”—Mt 7:3
It is often easier to notice the faults of others than to recognize the areas of our own lives that need healing and change. Pride and selfishness can blind us, leading us to focus on appearances instead of the condition of our hearts. Yet God sees beyond what others can see. He invites us to live with honesty, humility, and trust in his grace. When we open our hearts to him, he gently transforms us and helps us become more loving, compassionate, and faithful disciples.
Let us pray: Lord, help me to know you and to know myself. In knowing your greatness, may I recognize my weakness and humbly seek your mercy and grace each day.
