Difficult lessons
From today’s Scripture: “Jesus answered Peter, ‘Will you lay down your life for me? Amen, amen I say to you, the cock will not crow before you deny me three times.’”—Jn 13:38
It is too easy to talk tough. Peter can talk about how brave he is and that he will lay down his life for Jesus. When faced with an inconvenience, he denies that he even knows Jesus. Peter eventually did lay down his life but had to learn some difficult lessons along the way to get to that point. What does the example of Peter gnaw at in your life?
Let us pray: Lord, give me the strength to walk the Jesus path, regardless of the difficulty.
