Invitation to live

From today’s Scripture: “‘The Son of Man indeed goes, as it is written of him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed. It would be better for that man if he had never been born.’”—Mt 26:23

After several years of being in the inner circle of Jesus, Judas still put his own selfish goals ahead of what could have been an intimate and life-giving relationship. An invitation to live more fully means nothing unless it is accepted without conditions and guides every subsequent decision. What invitations have you received during this Lent? How have you responded?

Let us pray: Lord, forgive me for the times that I have betrayed you. Thank you for the gift to be able to start over in your good graces.
