50th Anniversary Gala/fundraiser for Frontier Housing Inc, a company started by Glenmary volunteers who came from New York area to parish in nearby Lewis County and settled in Morehead. Tom Carew, the principal, was one in the volunteer group from Fairfield Univ. in Connecticut. He became the first Farm Manager, and went on to Morehead, where Glenmary Father John Garvey helped him get started, getting some Glenmary money, recruiting local pastors for a board of directors, and eventually heading frontier in direction of Campaign for Human Development funding. Totals in 2024: In 1974, the Frontier Housing dream became a reality. Fifty years later, the impact is astounding and continues to grow: • 850+ Homes Constructed • 400+ Homes Repaired • 100+ Rental Housing Units • 2,100+ Households served by Construction Solutions, Affordable Loans, Credit Counseling, and More.

There are two housing facilities on our 10-acre site with enough space to accommodate groups of up to 25 people. Each house has a main living area, toilet, and shower. All living quarters have central heating and cooling.
