From today’s Scripture: “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites. You cleanse the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of plunder and self-indulgence.“ —  Mt 23:25

Jesus is warning the scribes and Pharisees about what they were doing to their fellow people, and he is not happy about it. Jesus wants us to treat one another with kindness and compassion. Scribes and Pharisees were mistreating people and making their lives difficult. Jesus did not keep quiet while seeing the injustice done. As Christians, are we able to stop injustice in the community? We are all Children of God, and Jesus came to save us all. Jesus loves us and wants us to love one another.

In our present time, Jesus is warning us. There are many ways we can be hypocritical in our lives. We need Jesus in our lives.

Let us pray: Jesus, we trust in you. Help us to be compassionate to one another and remain rooted in you.
