From today’s Scripture: “But Peter and the apostles said in reply, ‘We must obey God rather than men.’”—Acts 5:29

In today’s reading, the Apostles are put on trial before the Sanhedrin for their teachings in the temple. The Apostles stood firm in their beliefs, willing to face any consequences or shame from the high priest.

We must stand trial daily and defend our beliefs even when Satan tries his best to ruin our relationship with God. Take some time today to discern how you would hold up on the pulpit. Are you following the commandments? Are you a model of true discipleship?

Let us pray: God, I am so grateful for your teachings. Please help me to always follow in your ways, sharing your love and truth to all those I encounter.
