From today’s Scripture: “Amen, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.”—Lk 23:43

Imagine hearing these words! Even if it means leaving this world today, but with the certainty of going straight to paradise, anyone would be overcome with emotion and leap from the cross!

Jesus made this promise to one of the criminals crucified alongside him. That criminal’s faith earned him an eternity in heaven. The King of the Universe assured him of it.

Let us pray: Jesus, help me to strengthen my faith with more prayer and, above all, acts of love for my neighbor. I hope to one day reach the destination of paradise with you.
