From today’s Scripture: “I will make you a light to the nations, that my salvation may reach to the ends of the earth.”—Is 49:6
Every morning, my husband loves to open all the curtains and blinds in our home, flooding our rooms with light and brightness. Most days I welcome the light, but sometimes it’s a struggle.
It’s not always easy for us Christians to be a light in the world, a disciple of Christ. But even on the hard days, when we don’t want to let the light come in, we must embrace it! God calls us to do this and then share this goodness with others. Right now, there might be a friend or a stranger, yearning for you to ‘open the curtains’ and share the brightness, love, and joy you receive from God into their life. Let’s be the light!
Let us pray: God, let your light flood the darkness in our world. Help me to be your disciple, reaching out to those yearning to feel your embrace.
