From today’s Scripture: “[T]hat the Gentiles are coheirs, members of the same Body, and copartners in the promise in Christ Jesus through the Gospel.” — Ephesians 3:6

As we saw yesterday, this week’s readings from the letter to the Ephesians speak to the core of humanity. That dimension invites each of us to see one another as members of one household. For St. Paul, his mission meant that he preached to all, to the Gentiles, because they too were members of the same Body of Christ.

Maybe we can stop and reflect today: Who are those that we consider outsiders in our parish, in our place of work, and in our country? Who are “the foreign workers” in your area of life? Do we see them as problems to be solved or treasures to behold?

Let us pray: Bless me, Father, for I have sinned. Amen.
