From today’s Scripture: “How could we sing a song of the Lord in a foreign land?”—Ps 137:4

Many migrant families carry deep pain in their hearts as they live far from their homes, loved ones, and everything familiar. In moments of uncertainty, exhaustion, and loneliness, it can become difficult to sing with hope or to recognize God’s presence. Yet even in a foreign land, the Lord does not abandon his people. He walks with those who suffer, strengthens those who labor, and reminds every person of their dignity and worth. As followers of Christ, we are called to accompany, welcome, and bring hope to those who feel forgotten or displaced.

Let us pray: Lord, be close to all migrants and families living far from home. Comfort those who feel alone, protect those who work with sacrifice, and renew hope in hearts burdened by fear or uncertainty. Help us become instruments of your compassion, welcoming others with love and recognizing your presence in every person we meet.
