From today’s Scripture: “After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others whom he sent ahead of him in pairs to every town and place he intended to visit.”—Lk 10:1
What stands out to me in this Gospel is that the Lord sent out his disciples in pairs. Yes, we are called to go out on mission, but we are not meant to do it alone. We need community to give us strength and to hold us accountable, especially when we feel like lambs among wolves.
Let us pray: Lord, thank you for the people in my life that have accompanied me on this mission to share the Gospel. Give me courage to continue laboring for your harvest.
