From today’s Scripture: “Jesus said to his disciples: ‘What is your opinion? If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them goes astray, will he not leave the ninety-nine in the hills and go in search of the stray?’”—Mt 18:12

Are you consistently drawn to big splashes and large visions? I imagine there are a thousand ways I miss the little movements of God in a day because I am so distracted by all the things. My life moves so quickly that I am often too busy and overlook the one moment God might have given me in the day to really see the “one” in front of me.

As Jesus reminds us, let us not be distracted by the large numbers. May we be drawn to the one in front of us.

Let us pray: Lord, reveal your grace and mercy to me today. Help me to slow down and simply be present with you.
