From today’s Scripture: “I announced your justice in the vast assembly; I did not restrain my lips, as you, O LORD, know.”—Ps 40:10
For World Communications Day this year, Pope Francis has chosen the theme to be: “Share with gentleness the hope that is in your hearts.”
Pope Francis reminds us not to abandon the truth, but he encourages us to find loving ways to help reveal the truth, with charity. Hate doesn’t really help anything, does it! We believe God is love; it is our duty to treat everyone lovingly, even when we need to deliver challenging news.
Let us pray: God, make me a little less self-righteous today. Let me “walk a mile” in someone else’s shoes to learn compassion.
