From today’s Scripture: “This is how you shall bless the Israelites. Say to them: The Lord bless you and keep you! The Lord let his face shine upon you and be gracious to you. The Lord look upon you kindly and give you peace.”—Nm 6:23-26
God told Moses how much he loved and cared for the Israelites. When they accepted God’s love and care, they were able to obey and entrust themselves to God and receive his blessings. When they went their own way and trusted in themselves, their enemies defeated them and their lives were miserable.
God loves us, too, but often we forget and trust in ourselves, and just like the Israelites, we lose and our lives are more miserable.
Let us pray: O God, I do believe that you love me. Thank you for loving me, and help me to live today as someone aware of being loved by you.
