25th Thursday in Ordinary Time

From today’s Scripture: “Vanity of vanities…vanity of vanities! All things are vanity! What profit has man from all the labor which he toils at under the sun?”—Eccl 1:2-3 For people everywhere, it’s common to feel the weariness of daily work, the daily grind. For the wealthy it might be boredom, but for the rest of […]

25th Wednesday in Ordinary Time

From today’s Scripture: “Then they set out and went from village to village proclaiming the good news and curing diseases everywhere.”—Lk 9:6 Thanks to the witness and writings of the Apostles, we believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. It is so easy to analyze a person’s request for help. Will they really use the money I give them for something necessary […]

Paul’s letter to the Ephesians offers […]

Sts. Andrew Kim Tae-gŏn, Paul Chŏng Ha-sang & Companions

From today’s Scripture: “Accompanying Jesus were the Twelve and some women,…Mary, called Magdalene,… Joanna,…Susanna, and many others who provided for them out of their resources.”—Luke 8:2-3 Though we never hear this passage on a Sunday, I think it is important. It shows us that Jesus walked through the countryside and lived in a mixed group […]
