From today’s Scripture: “Amen, amen, I say to you, you will weep and mourn, while the world rejoices; you will grieve, but your grief will become joy.”—Jn 16:20

Those moments when you’re hurting but the world around you just keeps moving like nothing’s wrong can feel isolating and heavy. But Jesus doesn’t ignore that pain. He acknowledges it and promises it won’t last forever. Somehow, in God’s timing, even our deepest grief can be transformed into something lighter, even joyful. That doesn’t erase the pain, but it gives me hope that it won’t have the final word.

Let us pray: Heavenly Father, stay close to me in my sorrow and help me trust that joy will come again.
