From today’s Scripture: “Mary said, ‘Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord.’”—Lk 1:38

Each day thousands of couples find out that they are pregnant. It may not be as dramatic as Mary’s Annunciation, but the pregnancy announcement contains so much for the couple. The grace of challenge! How can I accept the challenge and responsibility that I have been given? The grace of hope! This child has the chance to love and to be loved.

Let us pray: Dear Lord, each day you give me inspirational messages for doing good for another person. Help me to listen to the inspirational thought and find the grace in my action for the other person.
