Fifth Monday of Lent

Lent Email Header 2026_web

From today’s Scripture: “Neither do I condemn you.”—Jn 8:11

How do I treat the sorrowful and repentant person who comes into my life? Do I give the person 100% assurance of forgiveness and mercy? Or do I hold back my forgiveness and let the person go off in their misery? Forgiveness has a strong power when it is offered to another.

Let us pray: When I meet that person who has hurt me in some way, help me, O Lord, to offer forgiveness. The person is a human being, just like me, with gifts and failings of their own. Help me to not have a judgmental mind.
