From today’s Scripture: “I have waited, waited for the LORD, and he stooped toward me and heard my cry.”—Ps 40:2
Waiting—who wants to wait in our world? Everything has to be instant, quick, or immediate. Delayed gratification is not acceptable. I have no time to wait; all kinds of things have to get done: work, appointments, the kids, homework, volunteering, even getting my prayer in. The list is endless.
My mother always told us: “That God made time; God made more than enough!” Do you think God short changed us? Whose kingdom are we taking time to build? Take some time to wait today.
Let us pray: God, help me to wait for you as you wait for me.
