From today’s Scripture: “Lord, make us turn to you: let us see your face and we shall be saved.” —Ps 80:2
I am usually happy when I see a friend or family member whom I have not seen in a long time. Phone calls, Facetime, and the like are good, but they are not the same as being with one another. It will be a great day when I can see Jesus face-to-face. In the meantime, I wish to see his face in my heart and my soul. I wish to see his face in my neighbors as well. To do so, I need to turn away from selfishness, from judgment, and from my own blinding sin, so I can see his radiant face in the world today as I hope to see it in heaven.
Let us pray: Lord may I turn to you in all things and at all times. May I experience your love now so I may see your face in heaven. Thank you for saving us.
