From today’s Scripture: “Jesus told his disciples a parable about the necessity for them to pray always without becoming weary.”—Lk 18:1
In March 2025, I lost the ability to walk. It was also found that I had bad wounds on the soles of my two feet. I left my mission assignment and moved to a nursing home in Cincinnati so that I would be close to Glenmary. I needed much care. My days were 22 hours in bed and two hours in the wheelchair. I need my feet to heal before I can walk.
I prayed hard to Jesus for a miracle but no results. Each time my feet were unwrapped I prayed the nurse would say, they are healed, but I never heard those words. Is Jesus listening?
I know he listens. I kept praying more, and I realized Jesus was there. The miracle is the many people who were and are reaching out to me in prayers, cards, visits, and phone calls. My feet are slowly healing. The miracle that I sought was different than the miracle I received. I have received many miracles. I am blessed. I look forward to the miracles Jesus has for me in the future.
Let us pray: Jesus, thank you for the miracles in my life. I pray that I may not go weary in praying to you.
