From today’s Scripture: “Zeal for your house will consume me.”—Jn 2:17
In today’s reading, we encounter Jesus being very angry. The reason is that people have made his father’s house a market. The animals that are to be sacrificed in the temple are being sold to the poor at a high price. The poor are being ripped off again. Jesus wants us to be brothers and sisters. When we take advantage of one another, we fail.
Let us pray: Lord Jesus, all of God’s children are precious. We pray that we may always remember this. Amen.
