From today’s Scripture: “You cannot serve God and mammon.”—Lk 16:13

It is easy to be pulled in two directions: wanting comfort, success, or control while also wanting to follow God wholeheartedly. It’s not that things themselves are bad, but when they become the center of my life, I lose sight of who I truly belong to. Choosing God first brings a kind of freedom that nothing else can give.

Let us pray: Lord, help me to keep my heart rooted in you above all else.
