From today’s Scripture: “When day came, he called his disciples to himself, and from them he chose Twelve…”—Lk 6:13

Jesus spent the night in prayer before choosing his closest friends. Among them were Simon and Jude, whom we celebrate today. They may not have been the most well-known, but they were important to Jesus’ heart. This reminds me that I too, in the small, everyday things, have a place in his mission; he has chosen me too.

Let us pray: Lord, prepare my heart today to receive the mission that you have chosen me to do.
