From today’s Scripture: “Rather, blessed are those who hear the word of God and observe it.”—Lk 11:28

Our blessing is not in what we have or what we do on our own. It is not in what family or nation we belong to. As a follower of Jesus, our blessing comes from listening to Jesus. That is what the voice from the heavens said at Jesus’ baptism and transfiguration.

And then we are to follow. It is our Christ-filled actions which incur the blessing.

Let us pray: Help us to receive your blessing by being your disciples and let our lives become a blessing for others.
