From today’s Scripture: “And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” —Col 3:17
“God is not a goal to be achieved; God is a presence to be reckoned with,” I read in one of my daily spiritual readings. It says that we keep the fear of the Lord always before our eyes and never forget it. From my perspective, I need to let go of my will and realize that God’s will is best for me, so I give up the right to be God. It’s an amazing opportunity that God is in every pore of my life now, not something that I deal with at the end of my life.
The Son of Man is the grace, the energy, the creative moment, a presence now, a way of thinking now, and a vision of the universe now. Jesus Christ is in me, so I am a precious part of the universe, but I (my race, my nation, my family, my will) am not the center. Thank you, Father in Heaven for who you are.
Let us pray: Lord, help us love you with all of our hearts, with all of our being.
