From today’s Scripture: “Who can know God’s counsel, or who can conceive what the Lord intends?’”—Wis 9:13

Today is a call to my own possibilities, and so I reflect on what needs to rise in me. There is something very special about joy. Novelist Eugenia Price says, “Joy is God in the marrow of our bones.” Joy is a deep well; God is there. However, I cannot know God’s counsel nor can I conceive what the Lord intends, yet I shall be a pilgrim in joyful anticipation, with an open heart faithfully raising high the cup of my life in any kind of weather.

Let us pray: Lord, fill our hearts with the joy of trusting you.
