From today’s Scripture: “While [Peter] was still speaking, a cloud came and cast a shadow over them, and they became frightened when they entered the cloud. Then from the cloud came a voice that said, ‘This is my chosen Son; listen to him.’”—Lk 9:34-35

We are usually able to see the buildup of cumulus clouds that precede a rainstorm.  The clouds “speak” to us of what is happening. The cloud on the mountain tells me to listen to Jesus. It is a simple and clear message. Do I listen to the voice of Jesus?

Let us pray: Lord, help me to truly listen and then to respond to your voice today.
