From today’s Scripture: “Blessed day by day is the Lord, who bears our burdens.” —Ps 68:19

Like many mothers, my greatest fears and fretting through the years have concerned our children. Now, with our four kids almost fully launched, I look back and marvel at the times God got our family through serious difficulties—sometimes after my husband and I hit our knees and prayed together in desperation. My trust in God to take care of matters large and small has slowly grown. Today I am better at surrender: letting go and allowing God to bear my burdens.

Let us pray: Lord Jesus, help me to hand my burdens over to you in faithful trust. Amen.
