From today’s Scripture: “The father of orphans and the defender of widows is God in his holy dwelling.” —Ps 68:5

Glenmary prioritizes care for society’s most vulnerable, including those who are poor, neglected, or unfairly treated. We speak up for those who have no voice. In ancient Israel, widows, orphans, and strangers were the most vulnerable; they had no one to defend them except God. In our day the most vulnerable have many faces.

Glenmary gets off the beaten track to find those in need, materially and spiritually.  Where are the most vulnerable in your community?

Let us pray: God of the forsaken, help me to reach out to those in need of care and protection. Amen.
