From today’s Scripture: “Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.”—Mk 13:31
Who or what do we put our trust in? Do we put it in turbulent waters that are one way today and change the next? Or do we place it in the words of Christ? In today’s Gospel we see Christ depicting the end of times, but he ensures and offers us his words as our refuge.
If we find consolation and solace in him, we have nothing to be afraid of. His words will comfort us when we are afraid. His words will challenge and transform us when we are lukewarm. Let us look to him always and in every situation.
Let us pray: Lord, fix my heart and sight on you always. Never let me depart from you!
