From today’s Scripture: “He is not God of the dead, but of the living, for to him all are alive.”—Lk 20:38
For God is God of the living! We, his children, are living people. In the midst of our sorrows or tribulations these words from Scripture are a reminder of his promise to us of everlasting life.
Our job and duty is to remain faithful to his living covenant. Amidst all our worries, trials, and struggles, let us remember that he is our refuge. In our afflictions may we look to him for our healing and consolation.
Let us pray: You are God of the living; give us the hope and strength to live according to your words.
