From today’s Scripture: “…to all the beloved of God in Rome, called to be holy.”—Rom 1:7
How are you called to be holy today? I struggle with this question when I think about how “simple” my everyday life can be. Most of my days consist of work, chores, making dinner, and putting my child to bed. I’m not out proclaiming the Gospel like St. Paul.
But still, I’m called to be holy even in those moments that I don’t think I’m making a big difference in the world. Today, holiness for me might be making time for prayer between dinner and the dishes and practicing extra patience with my family.
Let us pray: Lord, thank you for calling me to belong to you. Be with me today, and give me the desire to be holy in all that I do.
