From today’s Scripture: “‘And I tell you, ask and you will receive; seek, and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.’” — Luke 11:9

Usually, as we sit quietly in prayer, we do not even know what to ask; should I ask for guidance, wisdom, or forgiveness? Whatever it is we need, we often lack the confidence to ask.

Let us pray: Gracious God, send the Spirit to guide me to know what I need. It may be wisdom, or it may be forgiveness, but I do not even know what to ask.
