From today’s Scripture: “‘If this man were a prophet, he would know who and what sort of woman this is who is touching him, that she is a sinner.’” — Luke 7:39
That is the beauty in this scripture: Jesus knows who we are, and as he does with the woman, he forgives us. As a mother of many children, I can relate to this. People ask, do you love one child more than the other? My response is, I love them all the same, but sometimes that love may look different depending on what my child needs. Sometimes that love might look harsh, other times lenient, and other times merciful, but my response always comes from a place of love.
Let us pray: God, may we always seek your forgiveness and love, and may we offer that love and forgiveness to those who seek it from us.
