From today’s Scripture: “Have pity on me, Lord, Son of David.” — Mt 15:22
A Canaanite woman calls to Jesus for help for her daughter. Lord help me, she says. Her perseverance in asking — begging — for help brings Jesus to respond and commend her for her faith. This woman shows us how to pray with confidence and power.
Let us pray: Lord, I seek your help. I will ask over and over again. I believe you can help me, and I have confidence that you will help me. Here I am, Lord. Be my help.
