From today’s Scripture: “Then Jesus answered her, ‘Woman, great is your faith! Let it be done as you wish.’ And her daughter was healed immediately.”—Mt 15:28
Here is a desperate woman with a mission—the healing of her daughter. She is determined that no one and nothing will stop her from reaching Jesus. In her determination to secure what her daughter needs, she reminds me of other incredibly determined women in my life. My mother would talk about “storming heaven” for others who were in need. Today, take a moment to name and thank the women in your life who have stormed heaven for you.
Let us pray: Thank you, Lord, for all the prayerful, determined women in my life who have been models of how to intercede for the needs of others.
