13th Tuesday in Ordinary Time

From today’s Scripture: “They came and woke him, saying, ‘Lord, save us! We are perishing!’”—Mt 8:25

I saw an art frame that says, “God, where are You? “Who moved?” Undeniably, we experience spiritual dehydration. The temptation is to seek hydration in the wrong well. We feel lost and we declare that God is ‘missing in action,’ like the dramatic spectacle of the empty tomb. On Easter we rejoice in the risen Christ; we celebrate. However, who are we in the Resurrection story? Our well of faith must overflow, not run dry. Let us celebrate Easter not just for a single day — the Easter season is a way of living, a lifelong pilgrimage in our spiritual life, and its spiritual hydration depends on how we relate to one another. We are invited to recognize Christ residing in the other; anyone we reject is a missed well, a missed message in our life.

Let us pray: Lord, help us to be attentive of our missed messages.
