From today’s Scripture: “They ate and were satisfied.”—Mk 8:8

Today’s Gospel is one most of us are familiar with, the miracle of the loaves and fishes. This story is all about trusting in God to provide for all our needs. The people came from far and wide to hear Jesus preach. They needed the kind of spiritual nourishment that only Jesus could provide. That day Jesus filled both a spiritual and a physical hunger. Are we trusting in God to provide for us?

Let us pray: Dear Lord, help me to trust completely and to recognize the times you’ve provided for me in unexpected ways.
