From today’s Scripture: “We are unprofitable servants; we have done what we were obliged to do.”—Lk 17:10

Have you ever had a boss that was very hard on you to the point you did not want to go to work? I have, to the point that I was stressed out. Stress is too harmful to us. In the Gospel, the boss seems to belittle the servants. I do not want to work for him. We are servants of the Lord; what a great boss who loves us even when we mess up. If we can say to the Lord that we are your servant, that we have done that which we ought to do, then we are blessed.

Let us pray: Lord, keep calling me to be a servant, for you are the way to everlasting life.
