The Kingdom of God
From today’s Scripture: “The coming of the Kingdom of God cannot be observed, and no one will announce, ‘Look, here it is,’ or, ‘There it is.’ For behold, the Kingdom of God is among you.”—Lk 17:20-21
We all have expectations that the Kingdom of God that may conflict with the reality of our lives. Empty nesters may find themselves challenged when a young adult, son or daughter, returns home after the loss of a job. Priorities and schedules may change because of a serious medical condition. The Reign comes unexpectedly regardless of our own interpretations.
Let us pray: Lord, I trust you and your Providence when events may be a surprise and it is hard to see you present in my daily life. Help me today to be open to your grace.
