From today’s Scripture: “The lost I will search out, the strays I will bring back, the injured I will bind up, and the sick I will heal; but the sleek and the strong I will destroy. I will shepherd them in judgment.”—Ez 34:16
We all go through difficult times in our lives where we feel weak, emotionally damaged or just plain not feeling ‘good enough.’ It’s hard to feel this way, to not feel strong and capable. If you’re like me, I feel a little lost and undeserving during these times. But God continuously seeks me out. He finds a way to heal my heart, heal my soul, heal any part of me that is injured emotionally or physically, without judgment. He gives me a sense of belonging. We encounter this feeling of wholeness every time we partake in the sacraments. God is so good to us that he makes the sacraments so readily available to us. Let’s not take them for granted. In God and in the gifts he provides us, we find hope and healing.
Let us pray: Lord, I am not worthy. But you find me and heal me anyways, with no judgment. You give my life purpose. Thank you for making me whole.
