GLENMARY CELEBRATES TWO NEW PRIESTS

Fathers Joseph Maundu and Cavine Okello kneel before their bishop as they are ordained as priests.

Early this February 14th morning, Joseph Maundu and Cavine Okello were ordained as priests in a joyous ceremony in Kenya, marking the culmination of years of dedication and formation with the Glenmary Home Missioners. Surrounded by family, friends, and fellow clergy, the two men received the sacrament of Holy Orders, officially stepping into their roles as priests.

Glenmary Home Missioners expresses great excitement about welcoming them as newly ordained priests. We are thrilled to have them serving in our mission areas, bringing the Gospel to rural communities that need it most.

The two priests will soon return to the United States to begin their ministry, continuing Glenmary’s mission of evangelization, pastoral care, and community service in areas where the Catholic presence is scarce. Their ordination is a testament to the growing international reach of Glenmary and the power of faith in action.
